Repentance

Ministry Requires Relying on the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit has been here since the beginning, and our impact in ministry depends on our relationship with Him. Developing this relationship enhances growth and effectiveness, especially when mentoring others. While truth can set people free, real change comes from the presence and personal power of the Holy Spirit. Society is only beginning to understand His importance, and without a strong relationship with Him, success in ministry is less likely. The anointing on the Word can bring freedom, but the anointing on you as a mentor is crucial for truly reaching the lost and transforming lives. This includes guiding people into the Kingdom and teaching about transformation.

Listening to the Holy Spirit

Our approach is based on helping others overcome challenges. As mentors, we must hear the Holy Spirit to be effective. Drawing on our wisdom and their experience, we teach mentoring and lay a strong foundation—your lifestyle matters; whether you're in full-time ministry or another role, you're a Minister of God. I believe God is giving us discernment in our businesses. The Holy Spirit manifests in my teaching everywhere. I will listen to the Holy Spirit and encourage you to do the same, aiming for accuracy following Scripture.

Here's the core idea from the Amplified version, 1 John 4:6 [AMPC]: “We are [children] of God. Whoever is learning to know God [progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.”

This scripture highlights our identity as children of God when born again. The original wording may not include all the words in translations such as the King James, but understanding the root meaning reveals God's ongoing intent.

Let God Reveal His Nature through the Holy Spirit

We are children of God learning about His nature, not just transformation, which reveals God's nature. Transformation deepens our knowledge of God. As mentors, we must share inspired insights from the Holy Spirit, even if it's someone's first time. I believe new revelations come as we focus on God's truths. Don't strive to earn your relationship with God; it will come naturally. Whether you're new to the topic or experienced, I want to help you manifest the nine gifts of the Spirit. I can provide books and notebooks; studying is essential, but you also need to be positioned to carry the anointing wherever you go by surrounding yourself with people whom the Holy Spirit has impacted. You don't have to reach out actively; let the Holy Spirit work through you. We've been trying to help the world, but now we need to obey Him because He’s already working through us. Our goal is to grow closer to God and minister to His children.

This is how it will happen, as explained in 1 John 4:6 [AMPC] “[progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.”

How to Understand God

Remember, what are we supposed to be doing here? He says we will “understand God by observation and experience.” It doesn't say how much you know. It doesn't mean how many times you've been through transformation training. It states that it's based on experience and observation, which we'll revisit later. But now what is Act 3:19 [AMPC] “So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;”

What is Repentance

Repentance isn't about guilt or words. Many say, 'I'm guilty' and 'I'm trying to repent,' but often it's more talk than action. Genuine repentance requires action, not just words. When people claim they have asked for forgiveness and will repent, we check the scriptures to verify whether they have truly repented, as many have not. If you can't see their repentance, they haven't truly repented yet. Repentance is a genuine turning away from past actions, demonstrating its powerful force. It involves changing your mind and purpose. If you have a reason to repent, it's not just a task; it's a divine act that gives life meaning through purposeful change. When you repent, you won't be the same.

Why Do We Repent

We repent because it's a duty, not just to avoid sin. Repentance involves changing our purpose and mindset, giving us hope rather than just duties. It's about transforming our life’s direction, not simply turning around. Repentance is a process of changing our purpose because we're created for a purpose out of love. It's not just a task but a change of purpose that affects our lives and thinking. When we understand this, we no longer fear condemnation; instead, we learn to change when we fall short. True repentance results in observable life changes, not just words. People should see this transformation, not just hear words, as it reflects a shift in mindset.

Measurable Results

If they observe and experience change, they gain a deeper understanding of God through repentance. Transformation involves moving from weakness to strength, but true repentance requires a genuine change in mindset and purpose —not just words—many claim to repent but fail to change, often reverting to old behaviors. Mentors help guide this observed transformation, assisting individuals in breaking free from that cycle.
